Rashtrakuta-Dynasty (753-982)
0753 - 2026The Rashtrakuta Dynasty ruled south-western India from 753 to 982. The decline started when the Pratiharas (730-1036) expanded from Gujarat from northern central Indien, where Avanti was temporary capital. The Pala-Dynasty (~750-1161) expanded from Bengal mainly in Bihar and Maghada.The period also saw emergence of Rajput clans. The period witnessed invasion from the Turks.
