1828 After the abdication of the Derge-king Tsewang Dorje Rigdzin the civil service was exchanged. The newly appointed civil servants suppressed the nomads through extreme taxes and cruelties. The resulting riots ended in a complete confiscation of all the families’ possessions in Ronggyab.
