Yongey Mingyur Dorje

Yongey Mingyur Dorje (1628/41-1708) was both an important Nyingma tertön who revealed teachings of Guru Rinpoche and born into a family of Kagyüpas.

As a student of the 10th Karmapa he became a Karma Kagyü master and one of the teachers of the 11th Karmapa.

He was the first of a reincarnation lineage which developed its own tradition of transmissions with the center in his main seat – the Pal Tergar Rigzin Khacho Dargye Ling Monastery in Tibet.
