Vimalamitra

Vimalamitra was a great Indian scholar and lived during the 8th century. He was, apart from Guru Rinpoche and Vairocana, of great importance for the transmission of the Dzogchen teachings in Tibet.

One of his most important teachings deals with the innermost essence (Tib. Nyingthik; lit. “semial heart“ or “heartdrop“) of the Dzogchen teachings, known as Vima Nyingthik.
