Tsonghkhapa
Tsonghkhapa (1357-1419) was also known as Lobzang Drakpa. He was an influential
Tibetan Buddhist monk, philosopher, whose activities led to the formation of the Gelug
school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Probably he was as a son of a Tibetan tribe Mongolian of the Yuan dynasty. He studied under numerous teachers of various Tibetan Buddhist traditions. There are stories that he had met the 4th Karmapa twice.
