Sanggye Lingpa

Sanggye Lingpa (1705-1735) most likely without being aware of it, originated the New Bön movement which combined Buddhism (Nyingmapas) with the older Bön tradition of Tibet
(10th/11th century).

Sangye Lingpa was influential to the continuity of the Bön movement because he revealed terma texts of both Bön and Nyingma tradition, which were important for the further development of the Bön lineage.
