Rigzin Tsewang Norbu

Rigzin Tsewang Norbu or Kathok Rigdzin Tsewang Norbu (1698 – 1755) received Nyingma and Kagyü transmissions, mainly focussing on Mahamudra in his meditation practice.

Another emphasis was the Shentong view of emptiness, based on the so-called Jonangpa tradition, a Sakya method of the Great Middle Way (Madhyamaka). He set priorities on both above mentioned perspectives which he transmitted to the 8th Situpa.
