Panchen Namkha Pelzang


Panchen Namkha Pelzang was born in 1464-1529. He was a very learned Buddhist
lama, who had studied a wide range of sutra and tantra teachings under many different
masters.

He was the holder of the complete Kalachakra transmissions, and it is said, when he practiced the Six-Branch Yoga of Kalachakra, he gained unimpeded clairvoyance. He attained a stable state of accomplishment.

Namkha Pelzang founded the Monastery of Depung, where he continuously taught the Six-Branch Yoga to many thousands of Buddhist practitioners (both ordained and lay practitioners).
