Maudgalyana
Maudgalyana or Mogallana was, together with Shariputra, one of Buddha’s chief disciples. He was known for his supernatural powers. Both Shariputra, known for his wisdom, and Maudgalyana were spiritual wanderers before they met the Buddha.
Maudgalyana re-united the community or sangha after Buddha’s cousin Devadetta had tried to split it. Maudgalyana was killed at the age of 84; it was said that there still some karmic depts were existing.
