Lama Kunchen

Lama Kunchen lived around 1700. It is said that he was a Nyingma lama as he was from the treasure transmission lineage.

Lama Kunchen was the first teacher of the 8th Situpa. When Situpa was a very young child of two years, Lama Kunchen took him to Tsurphu Monastery to see the 11th Karmapa, who had predicted the rebirth of the 7th Situpa.
