Kamalashila

Kamalashila lived during the 4th century. She was a nun at the university of Nalanda
and later became mother of the famous Asanga and Vasubandhu.

Through them she could pass on the teachings she learned by heart during her time in Nalanda. After the Abhidharma Tantra library had burned down due to arson and all the unique books had been destroyed, she chose this unusual way to save many transmissions.
