Aryadeva

Aryadeva (around the 3rd century CE) was a Buddhist monk in the tradition of Mahayana, who was a direct disciple of Nagarjuna and an expert for the philosophy of Madhyamaka. He is said to be born in Sri Lanka. History tells that Aryadeva won all debates against those who challenged him. One of them killed Aryadeva; while dying, Aryadeva forgave his killer and thus brought him to convert to Buddhism.
