7th Situpa Lekshe Mawai Nyima

The 7th Situpa, Lekshe Mawai Nyima (1683-1698) was born into a family of devoted Sakyapas, who refused the recognition of their son as being the reincarnated 6th Situpa, Chogyel Mipam Trinle Rabten by the 11th Karmapa. It is said, that this could most likely be the reason, that the 7th Situpa passed away in a very young age of 15.
