7th Shamarpa Yeshe Nyingpo
The 7th Shamarpa chose the circumstances of his rebirth exactly where his former disciple and future root lama, the 10th Karmapa, had expressly wished – in an eastern province close to China into a family of nomads. This was extremely important, as the Karmapa was in exile and was therefore able to seek out his disciple on foot, albeit still under difficult external circumstances, and take him with him.
Yeshe Nyingpo went from being a wild, courageous shepherd boy to a great example of a meditation master through his persistent devotion and meditation practice.
