6th Shamarpa Chökyi Wangchuk

Mipham Chökyi Wangchuk had an incomparable intellect. Through his close connection to his root lama, and the 9th Karmapa‘s sensitivity for the special child, he was able to train this from an early age coupled with an amazing memory, which was also evident in his realization.

It was said that he was Wisdom Buddha himself. He skillfully used his immense knowledge for the benefit of beings, emerged victorious from every debate and thus won many admirers, including later his disciple, the 10th Karmapa, who revered him as a Buddha and became not only his disciple but also his devoted servant.
