4th Khamtrul Rinpoche, Tenzin Chökyi Nyima

The 4th Khamtrul Rinpoche Tenzin Chökyi Nyima (1730-1779) was a Drugpa Kagyü
master and disciple of the 8th Situpa.

The 4th Khamtrul wrote a commentary about Tibetan poetry and founded the Khampa Gar Monastery in Kham, which became the seat of his lineage – the Khamtrul lineage.
